UCSB Boathouse

UCSB rows on Lake Cachuma, located in the Santa Ynez Valley. Just 40 minutes from campus, the reservoir offers 5000 meters of continuous water. The boathouse is part of the Cachuma Lake Recreation Area and consists of two boat bays, a dock, and an outdoor storage area. 

Directions

  • take “cachuma lake/highway 154” exit and follow the signs
  • continue on Highway 154 for approx. 18 miles
  • There is a sign for the Cachuma Lake Recreation Area 1/2 mile before the RIGHT turn to enter the park
  • go past entrance booth, and follow the road to stop sign.
  • turn RIGHT at the stop sign, and continue to the “general store”
  • turn right at general store stop sign and continue for approx 1/4 mile
  • at the fork veer LEFT
  • continue down the road for approx 1/2 mile and cross wooden bridge
  • the boathouse is on the LEFT side down the hill
  • take “cachuma lake/highway 154” exit
  • turn LEFT at the stop sign
  • continue on highway 154 for 14 miles
  • there is a sign for the park 0.25 miles before the LEFT turn to the entrance
  • go past entrance booth, and follow the road to stop sign.
  • turn RIGHT at the stop sign, and continue to the “general store”
  • turn right at general store stop sign and continue for approx 1/4 mile
  • at the fork veer LEFT
  • continue down the road for approx 1/2 mile and cross wooden bridge
  • the boathouse is on the LEFT side down the hill

Erg Room and Weight Center

Erging

Erg practices are on the second floor of Robertson Gymnasium. Smaller group workouts can be completed in our erg room, which rowers can access any time the gym is open.

Athletic Performance Center

Members of UCSB Rowing have access to strength and conditioning services at the Athletic Performance Center (APC), located in Rob Gym. Professional trainers instruct and supervise our athletes as they complete rowing-specific workout plans.
